Tinna Hallgrimsdottir joins the Sustainability Specialist team at Klappir
We are pleased to announce that Tinna Hallgrímsdóttir will join Klappir as a sustainability specialist. Tinna has been working in the sustainability and environmental sector for a while. She is the president of Young Environmentalists in Iceland, one of the organizers of Fridays for Future Iceland. Furthermore, she was appointed by the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate to join the Icelandic Climate Council.
We are pleased to announce that Tinna Hallgrimsdottir will join Klappir as a sustainability specialist.
Tinna has been working in the sustainability and environmental sector for a while, especially in advocacy. She is the president of Young Environmentalists in Iceland, one of the organizers of Fridays for Future Iceland. Furthermore, she was appointed by the Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate to join the Icelandic Climate Council. Tinna is also Iceland's youth rep. to the Nordic Council of Ministers’ expert group on sustainable development. Previously, she held the position of Iceland's youth delegate to the United Nations in the field of sustainable development, as well as being a vice-delegate in the field of human rights. Tinna has been awarded for her work, but she was elected Member of the Year 2021 by The National Youth Council of Iceland.
Tinna has been involved in various other projects in the field of sustainability, i.a. she was appointed chairperson of the jury for the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate’s environmental award for companies or institutions. Tinna was also appointed to the jury for the Arctic Awards 2022 organized by the Northern Periphery and Arctic Program and is on the advisory committee for NAARCA.
Tinna has a master's degree in environment and natural resources from the University of Iceland as well as a B.Sc. degree in industrial engineering.
