Klappir has made a collaboration agreement with Auga Group, one of Europe?s largest organic food producers from field to shelf.
This is delightful news for us at Klappir and a very stimulating challenge. Auga Group wants to measure emissions from their operations and responsibly report on their environmental footprint in a transparent and automatic way.
We will measure operational factors such as fuel use of car fleet and other equipment, waste generation and disposal, heating, and use of water, fertilisers, and, last but not least, manure.
Auga Group is based in Lithuania. The group manages approx. 38,000 ha of organically cerfified arable land and develops sustainable farming models, based on the latest technologies. Among products are crops, dairy, chicken, and mushrooms. The group makes products for individual consumers as well as selling to organic commodity purchasers. Most readers will be familiar with their products, sold all over Europe.
By adopting our smart environmental solutions, Auga Group will gain a comprehensive overview of their environmental footprint and the opportunity to reflect and show their process by using our environmental reporting tools.
We are very happy to have started the collaboration and are looking forward to seeing where it will take us.
